For the board table
Both Rules were gazetted in July 2026 and came into force on 18 September 2026. Most funds and other financial services providers (FSPs) already do the operational work, so the session focused on what the Board should have on file. It was in three parts:
- What is already in place: AML officers, the administrator, screening and training, and what still needs to be written down.
- What the Board must settle: independence, outsourcing materiality and audit, and the determinations CIMA can ask to see.
- What to do this month: a short, practical path to a signed programme before 18 September.
